Today I was running along, listening to my ipod when I started to hear some young women yelling. It seemed strange since my neighborhood is always quiet, especially during the week, but they sounded like they were having a good time, so I didn't think much of it. Then I hear it again - more yelling. Somebody must be cheering me on! I'm looking left, looking right, looking behind me!! Where are my fans?! Nothing. Well, there was a guy and his dog, but I was fairly confident it wasn't them. Weird. More yelling! What the hell? Is there an invisible party going on. I'm looking all around! Where is that sound coming from?! Then it hits me. I'm listening to a song from a concert. The screaming girls are just drunk Dispatch fans. Which brings me to my tip of the day:
If you're listening to music, remember that you're listening to music, and don't trip over yourself looking for the source of any abnormal noises.

Drinking a green tea chai latte in the hour leading up to a run has been known to cause intestinal distress. Perhaps save this delicious beverage for after the run.

I'm going to make a confession.
Despite popular belief, I do not think vinyl sounds better. In fact, I would go so far as to say I think it sounds worse. Furthermore, it's bulky. Furthermore, it's a pain the ass to find. Furthermore, you can't listen to it in your car. Notice the lack of redeeming qualities? I'm not leaving them out to be purposely one-sided. I honestly can't think of any.
If I had to pick one format to have my entire music collection on, my list of preferences would be as follows:
1. Digital
2. CD
3. No music to my name at all
4. Vinyl...maybe even cassette
