Is it wise to max out on your last set of chin ups?
I do four sets of chinup every other day. I can do about four sets of ten. On my last set, I do as many full chin ups as I can do and then I try to max out by going as far as I can go by doing a few half chin ups. These half chin ups are chin ups where I go a little past half way up to the bar. Is this a good strategy?
If it leaves you sore then it's probably too much, otherwise it should be fine. There are many ways to go about working out. I don't think there is any one right way. Your routine seems just as good as any.
