Are there ways to straighten your back through exercise or stretching if you have scoleosis?

If you have mild scoliosis, you can strengthen your back muscles and prevent the curvature from becoming more pronounced. This will depend on the degree of curvature. Strengthening the back muscles can also help prevent painful muscle spasms that can occur with scoliosis.
This is a question for your physician. If he/she feels exercises can help, a referral to a Physical Therapist may be in order. PTs can show you, and help you perform, stretches and exercises and give you a Home Exercise Program so that you can continue doing the exercises.
Physical Therapists have Masters Degrees; some of them even have PhDs. They are very knowledgeable about the human body.
