Does the Wii Fitness game work well for daily exercise?

I'm thinking about buying a Wii and the fitness board, but wondering if it's really worth it. Does it help as a regular exercise program. As I find the gym, too costly and boring.

Its good for a light workout, if your training to maintain your weight or shed a few pounds, buts I dont believe it will work out if your trying to lose a lot of weight.
