Macrumors states on their website that the macbook pro is approaching the end of its cycle?

What it means is that it would be due for a refresh. Apple updates all of its product lines every so often, so a refresh would mean new internal components for the machines.

However, the last refresh for the Macbook Pro was in May 2010, so they really shouldn't be due for a refresh now.
