What is the best exercise? Running, biking, or stair climbing?
I really want to get fit and slim down my legs. I would like to know which of these exercises would help me get achieve this faster. Running, biking, or stair climbing?
by "stair climbing" i mean running up and down flights of stairs. lol not sure if this is a valid exercise.
I don’t want to burst your bubble there but you won’t slim down your legs by adding muscle mass there.
That said, as far as burning fat reserves with aerobics goes, running is not good, too stressful on the body and you’d be better off with low intensity fat-burning aerobics, like walking/jogging. Stair climbing in boring (really, you wish for a hammer at the top of the stairs so you can hit yourself in the head) but biking is great. You would still have to cover more than 100 miles to lose one pound of fat reserves.
I burn 32 calories per mile and each pound of fat reserves is 3,500 calories of exercising.
