However, the us Government has remarked that obesity is really a rapidly growing problem and that deceitful advertisements for weight reduction devices can event present a health risk for anyone relying on these devices to lose weight if they don't additionally exercise and change their nutrition. The Federal Trade Commission is a government agency that monitors advertisements for bogus or deceptive claims. You might think of the US government anything you like, but honestly: why should they present a guideline for healthier living and protecting people from product scams if their findings were not true? Especially as these guidelines only confirm what common sense tells the majority of us anyways. Items like body belts, body wraps, rings, creams or lotions cannot make you lose substantial weight. Ads claiming that products from this category will make you lose over a pound a week are simply put: just untruths.
2. Cause weightloss of two pounds or even more per week for a month or maybe more without dieting or exercise.
Although certain commercials would like to make us believe differently, everybody knows that in order to lose weight you will need to do more exercise and/or alter your diet consuming a smaller amount of calories. According to the nutrition experts from the FTC any ad that claims otherwise is just false. Personally , i agree wholeheartedly that it is not genuine if the product promises to allow you to get slimmer without varying your lifestyle.
3. Cause substantial fat reduction (meaning the loss of no less than 1 pound/week or a total weight loss greater than 15 pounds in a time period) no matter what or just how much a person eats
It is impossible for you to reduce weight regardless of how much or the things you eat. As pointed out, reducing your weight requires consuming fewer calories. Should i be wearing a weight belt when dead lifting?
i have hurt my back before but it has felt real good strong and no pain for the last year or so. the heaviest i go for dead lifts is 345 lbs but am working to go higher. but like i said my back feels fine but i heard some guys in the gym commenting that i should and that's how people hurt there backs with out one looking for more advice,
You only need a belt when you're nearing your maximum weight. So if 345 is your max, and you always max out, then you'll want to wear a belt on that 345. You can get away without using a belt if you really want, but there's not really any reason not to use a belt for your maximum deadlift reps. I always try to do without a belt for as long as I can while I'm working up to my max set, but I always toss the belt on for those last, really heavy reps.
The same advice goes for when you're squatting.
Wearing a belt can also let you toss a little bit more weight on the bar when deadlifting/squatting. The belt basically gives something stable for your abdominals to press against, allowing you to get better tightness in your core, which carries over to a strength advantage. It's that same function that also makes it safer to wear a belt.
Edit: Guy above me has a bit of a point, but if you also properly target your abdominals with accessory work, then I don't think you should have any problem. A lot of powerlifters that lift heavy really work the hell out of their core when it comes to accessory exercises, because the core really is huge for having power in major lifts.
